Pastor 목사님
Pastor Kowach was born in Seoul and spent his early years in South Korea where his parents were missionaries from 1970-1980. At the age of 16 Pastor Nathan trusted Christ as his Saviour. For his senior year of high school in 1992, God opened the door for Nathan to return to Korea and stay with another missionary family in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do. During that year God led him to fully surrender his life to God. After finishing high school, Pastor Nathan visited the country of Albania with another missionary, and then he completed a one-year missions internship in Papua New Guinea. God used those times to affirm his call to missions and to open his eyes to the great need all around the world. While attending Bible college he surrendered to the Lord to go back to Korea as a missionary. Before graduating from Bible College in 2002, Pastor Nathan met his life partner.
코악 목사님의 부모님이 한국에서 1970-1980년도에 선교사로 사역하시는 동안에 코악 목사님은 서울에서 태어나 어린시절을 한국에서 보냈읍니다. 16살 때 목사님은 그리스도를 구세주로 영접하였읍니다. 1992년 고등학교 3학년때 하나님은 목사님이 한국 의정부에서 사역하시는 한 선교사님댁 머물 수 있도록 문을 열어주셨읍니다. 그 해에 하나님은 그의 삶을 하나님께 받치도록 인도하셨읍니다. 고등학교를 마친 후 목사님은 알바니아에서 사역하시는 선교사님을 방문했고, 그리고 파파뉴기니아에서 일 년 동안 선교견습을 하였읍니다. 하나님은 이 기간 동안에 선교사로 부르심을 확증하셨고, 목사님은 온 세상은 선교가 필요함에 눈을 떴읍니다. 신학대학에서 공부하는 동안 한국에 선교사로 갈 것을 주님께 헌신했읍니다. 신학대학을 졸업하기 전에 목사님은 2002년도에 그의 동반자를 만났읍니다.
Becky Kowach grew up in a pastor's home in northwest, Kansas, USA. She is the middle child of 3 children, all of whom are in full-time Christian ministry. At the age of 12, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. A few years later at a youth conference, she surrendered her life to be a missionary. After attending Bible college and raising support as a single missionary, Becky met Pastor Kowach. Recognizing the Lord’s hand in bringing them together, Pastor Nathan and Becky were married in 2001. Their marriage has been blessed with three children—Elisabeth, Joshua, and Bethany.
사모님 베키(리브가) 코악은 미국 캔사스 주 서북쪽에 있는 목사님댁에서 태어났읍니다. 3 남매중 중간아이로 태어났으며, 그 삼남매는 모두 사역자입니다. 사모는 12살때 그리스도를 구세주로 영접했고, 몇년 후에 청소년 전도집회에서 선교사로 헌신을 했읍니다. 신학대학을 다닌 후 독신선교사로 가기 위하여 선교모금을 하던 중에 코악목사님을 만났읍니다. 주님께서 그들을 함께 묶어주심을 알고 코악 목사님과 베키 사모는2001년도에 결혼을 했읍니다. 결혼에 축복을 받아 세 아이들 – 엘리사베드, 여호수아, 베다니 가 태어낳읍니다.
Since January 2006, the Kowachs have been serving in South Korea. first ministry was in Gangneung, Gangwon-do working alongside a veteran missionary. During that time, they also had the opportunity to work with two national pastors. In 2009 they partnered with another missionary to help plant a new church in Wonju, Gangwon-do. Three and a half years later when the new church was established, the Kowachs moved to Chuncheon. In 2013 they began Bible studies in their home, and in 2016 Chuncheon Lighthouse Baptist Church was established.
2006년 1월부터 코악 목사님 가족은 한국에서 사역을 해 오고 있읍니다. 처음 사역은 강원도 강능에서 원로 선교사님과 함께 사역을 했읍니다. 그곳에 사역하는 동안 한국의 목사님 두 분과 함께 사역하는 기회도 있었읍니다. 2009년도에는 강원도 원주에서 다른 선교사님과 함께 교회를 개척을 했읍니다. 그곳에서 3년 반동안 함께 사역한 후 목사님 가족은 춘천으로 2013년도에 이사하여 집에서 성경공부를 시작하면서 2016년도에 등대침례교회를 개척을 했읍니다.
