Our purpose is to glorify God by conducting a self-supporting, independent, local Baptist church in accordance with the Word of God seeking to win the lost to Christ; assembling for prayer, spiritual fellowship, and worship; preaching and teaching the whole counsel of God; administering the ordinances; maintaining a testimony of godliness and good works in the community; carrying on a worldwide missionary program; standing for Biblical faith and separation; ordaining qualified men of like faith to the gospel ministry; exercising Biblical discipline; instituting, operating, and maintain- ing associated ministries for evangelism, education, discipleship, spiritual growth, and any other ministry the church deems necessary. (Luke 19:10; John 20:31; II Timothy 2:15 and 3:16-17)

우리의 목적은 하나님의 말씀에 따라 자립적이고 독립 적인 지역 침례교회를 이룸으로써, 잃어버린 자들을 그리스도에게 이르도록 하여 하나님께 영광을 돌리는 것이다. 기도와 영적교제, 예배를 위하여 모이고, 하나 님의 온전한 조언을 설교하고 가르치며, 규례들을 실 행하고, 공동체 안에서 경건한 행실과 선한 행위의 간 증을 유지하며, 세계적인 선교 프로그램을 수행하고, 성경적믿음과세상과의분리를옹호한다.복음사역에 자격이 있는 같은 믿음을 가진 사람을 안수하고 성경 적 징계를 시행한다. 복음전도, 교육, 제자훈련, 영적 성장과 교회가 필요하다고 생각하는 그 외의 사역을 위해, 연합된 사역들을 세우고 운영하며 유지한다. (눅 19:10, 요 20:31, 딤후 2:15 & 3:16-17)

Many churches in these latter times have departed from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; many have turned away their ears from the truth, and have turned unto fables; many are busily engaged in scattering abroad the seeds of fatal error, directly affecting the honor of our Lord and the destiny of the soul. Thus, we feel constrained by our fidelity to Him to adopt the following statement of doctrine to which we require the assent of all applicants for membership. (II Timothy 3:1-7 and 4:1-4)

이 시대의 많은 교회들이 믿음을 떠나 마귀의 영과 교리들을 부추기는 데 관심을 가지고 있다. 많은 교회들이 진리에 귀 기울이기보다는 꾸며낸 이야기에 의지하려 하고, 우리 주님의 영예로움과 혼의 운명에 직접적인 영향을 끼치는 치명적 오류의 씨앗을 널리 퍼트리는 데 가담하고 있다. 그러므로 우리는 다음과 같은 교리적 진술을 채택함으로써 하나님에 대한 우리의 충성심을 나타내 보이지 않을 수 없으며, 교인이 되기를 원하는 모든 사람들은 이에 대한 동의가 필요하다. (딤후 3:1-7 & 4:1-4)

1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. We believe that God has preserved His Word to the English-speaking people through the King James Version.
   우리는 하나님에 의하여 언어적으로 영감을 받은 신구약 성경 말씀이 무오류함을 믿으며 동시에 믿음과 생활에 있어 최고이자 최종적인 권위임을 믿는다. 우리는 하나님께서 킹제임스 성경을 통해 영어를 사용하는 사람들에게 당신의 말씀을 보존해 오셨음을 믿는다.

2. We believe in one Triune God, eternally existent in three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit co-eternal in power, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfection.
   우리는 삼위 일체 하나님 즉, 세 인격체이신 성부 성자 성령의 영원히 존재함과 권능에 있어서 영 원히 공존하며 본성에 있어서 동일하며 권능과 영광에 있어서 동등함과 같은 속성들과 완전성을 가지고 있음을 믿는다.

3. We believe that God the Father concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He answers prayer, and that He saves from eternal death and Hell all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
   우리는 성부 하나님이 인간사에 있어서 긍휼을 베푸셔서 기도에 응답하고 예수 그리스도를 통하여 그분에게 나온 모든 사람을 영원한 죽음과 지옥으로부터 구원하심을 믿는다.

4. We believe in the absolute Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth and sinless humanity; His vicarious death through the shedding of His blood for the remission of sin; His bodily resurrection and ascension; His present high priestly ministry in Heaven for believers, and in His physical and pre-millennial second coming.
   우리는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 절대적 신성과 동정녀 탄생과 죄 없는 인성을 믿는다. 죄 사함을 위한 그분의 피 흘림을 통한 대속적 죽음과 육신 적 부활과 승천, 그분께서 현재 신도들을 위해 대 제사장 사역을 하고 계심과 천년왕국 전 육신을 입고 재림하실 것을 믿는다.

5. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine person; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; that He is the agent of the new birth; that He indwells and sanctifies all believers, sealing and thus securing them until the day of redemption; that He en-dues, guides, teaches, and helps believers; that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
   우리는 성령님이 신성한 존재이시며, 세상 사람들에게 죄와 의로움과 심판을 깨닫게 하시며 새로운 탄생의 대리인이 되시며 우리 안에 내재하시어 모든 신자들을 성화 시키시고 구속의 그날까지 인치시고 보존하심을 믿는다. 그분은 신자들에게 권능을 부여하시고 안내하시고, 가르치시고, 도우신다. 성령 충만케 됨이 모든 구원받은 사람에게 특권이자 의무임을 믿는다.

6. We believe that God created the heaven and the earth by a direct act and not by any other means; that this act of creation occurred in six literal days, and that He is the sustainer of all creation.
   우리는 하나님께서 다른 어떤 수단도 아닌 직접 적인 행위에 의하여 천지를 창조하셨음을 믿는 다. 이러한 창조의 행위는 문자적으로 6일 안에 일어났으며, 그 분이 모든 창조의 보증자이심을 믿는다.

7. We believe that mankind was created in the image of God; that by reason of his disobedience, he fell from this high position; that all human beings born since have received a sinful nature from birth.
   우리는 인간이 하나님의 형상에 따라 창조되 었음을 믿는다. 인간의 불순종 때문에 이렇게 높은 처지로부터 떨어져, 그 이후로 태어난 모든 인간들은 죄의 본성을 받고 있음을 믿는다.

8. We believe that Salvation is wholly by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, in virtue of His redemptive work on the cross, and that no other rite, ceremony, or work can save a person from his sin.
   우리는 구원이 예수 그리스도의 십자가의 구속 사역으로말미암아주예수그리스도안에서믿음 을 통한 온전한 은혜에 인한 것임을 믿는다. 다른 제사나 의식, 행위가 인간을 죄로부터 구원할 수 없음을 믿는다.

9. We believe that sanctification for the believer is immediate upon acceptance of  Christ as Saviour, continuing until the end of life; and progressive, and that the progressive phase is carried on in the believer’s heart by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the continual use of the appointed means specifically, obedience to the Word of God and prayer.
   우리는 신자의 성화가 그리스도를 구주로 받아 들이는 즉시에 나타나며, 생명이 다할 때까지 점진적으로 진행된다고 믿으며, 그러한 점진적 단계가 약속된 방법들 – 구체적으로 하나님의 말씀에 순종과 기도 – 을 지속적으로 사용하는 가운데 성령의 임재하심과 권능을 통하여 신자의 마음속에서 진행됨을 믿는다.

10. We believe that the saved are called to a life of separation from the world unto God, from religious apostasy, and from all sensual pleasures, practices, and associations.
    우리는 구원받은 자가 세상으로부터, 종교적 배 교로부터, 그리고 모든 육신적 쾌락과 관습과 세 상과의 교제와 연합으로부터 분리되어 하나님을 향한 삶을 살도록 부름받고 있음을 믿는다.

11. We believe in the existence of angels – created beings sent forth to minister unto the saints under the direction of the Father. We believe, too, in the existence of Satan as a distinct and real personality who is the adversary of Christ and His church.
    우리는 하나님 아버지의 지시 하에 성도들에게 사역하도록 보내진 천사들, 즉 창조된 존재들의 실재함을 믿는다. 우리는 또한 그리스도와 그의 교회에 대적하는 분명하고 실재적인 인성을 갖춘 사탄의 존재를 믿는다.

12. We believe that the church of Christ is the body and bride of our Lord; that it is distinct from the nation of Israel; that its mission is to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every nation.
    우리는 그리스도의 교회가 우리 주님의 몸이자 신부임을 믿는다. 그것은 이스라엘 민족과는 별개이며 교회의 사역은 온 세상에 나아가 모든 민족에게 복음을 전파하는 것임을 믿는다.

13. We believe that Christ commissioned to the church the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper; that Christian baptism is by immersion in water, thus setting forth in a symbol the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ; that the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the Lord’s death until He comes; and that, in this ordinance, the Lord’s table is only to be observed by regenerated persons living in fellowship and obedience to Jesus Christ.
    우리는 그리스도께서 침례와 주의 만찬의 규례를 교회에 맡기셨음을 믿는다. 그리스도의 침례는 물속에 잠김으로 이루어지며, 그것은 예수 그리스도의 죽음과 묻힘과 부활을 상징 적으로 말해주고 있으며, 주의 만찬은 그분이 오실 때까지 주님의 죽음을 기념하기 위함이다. 이 규례 가운데, 주의 만찬은 예수 그리스도와 친교하며 그분께 순종함으로 살고 있는 거듭 태어난 사람들에 의해서만 지켜져야 한다.

14. We believe in a literal, bodily, personal, pre-millennial, and imminent coming of our Lord in the air to catch away His church before the tribulation period; also in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Christ to the earth, with His church, at the close of the tribulation period to judge the living nations and to set up His kingdom.
    우리는 우리 주님께서 환난기 전에 공중에 오셔서 그분의 교회를 들어올림을 문자적, 신체 적, 개인적으로 믿으며, 전 천년적 재림임박을 믿는다. 또한 그리스도의 인간적이고 가시적이며 영광스러운 이 땅의 재림과 그분의 교회와 함께 환난기 끝 무렵에 살아있는 민족을 심판하고 그분의 왕국을 건설하기 위하여 오심을 믿는다.

15. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men. The saved will come forth to everlasting life at the return of Christ before the tribulation. The souls of the lost will be in conscious misery in Hell until called forth at the Great White Throne to be cast into everlasting punishment in the lake of fire.
    우리는 모든 사람의 육체적 부활을 믿는다. 구원 받은 자는 환난 전에 그리스도의 재림시 영원한 생명으로 나올 것이다. 잃어버린 자들의 혼은 크 고 흰 왕좌에서 심판을 받아 불 못 속에 영원한 응 징으로 던져질 때까지 지옥에서 고통을 의식하며 있게 될 것이다.

16. We believe that every human has the right to a direct relationship with God, and is responsible to Him alone in matters of faith and life; that the local church, through its leadership and members, should exert all possible pastoral and brotherly care to restore brethren in error.
    우리는 모든 인간이 하나님과 직접적인 관계를 맺을 권리를 가지고 있고, 믿음과 삶의 문제들 속에서 그분에게만 책임을 지며, 지역교회의 지도자와 교인들은 죄를 범한 형제들을 회복시 키기 위한 가능한 모든 영적 지도와 형제로서의 관심을 기울여야 한다고 믿는다.

17. We believe that each local church, according to the New Testament, should be independent, autonomous, and not rightly subject to interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; and that, church and state should be kept separate having two distinct functions, each fulfilling its duties free from dictation or patronage of the other.
    우리는 신약에 따라서 개개의 지역교회가 독립 적이고, 자치적이며 어떠한 교회 조직 혹은 정치 당국에 의해서 직접적으로 간섭받지 아니하여야 함을 믿는다. 교회와 국가는 명백히 별개의 기능 을 가지고 있으며, 서로의 명령과 임명권으로부 터 벗어나 각자의 의무를 다할 수 있도록 구분되 어야 한다.
